Today we were interviewing at Downing Street, somewhere we’ve always wanted to go inside. We interviewed Tom Watson, Cabinet Office Minister, for the blogging documentary Civic Surf. However, in the interview, we seemed to spend a lot of time talking about parsnips…

We weren’t just interviewing at Downing Street

We then moved location to film with Steve Webb, Member of Parliament for North Avon and Lib Dem Shadow Secretary of State for Environment, Energy, Food and Rural Affairs. He told us an interesting story about how he had to convince facebook that he actually was the real Steve Webb!

Overall, it was a really fun and informative day of filming!

What is Civic Surf?

Civic Surf documentary was commissioned by Gallomanor, and we’re following Norfolk councillors as they learn to blog. We approached Tom and Steve for interviews because they were blogging successfully in the political arena, so were able to offer some advice to the new bloggers. We previously did a video interview with Cllr Mary Reid, who spoke about how she communicates with her constituents through her blog.
